Leonardo Piepoli’s B-sample from the Tour de France has also been found to be positive for CERA. The 37 year old racer will likely face a career ending 2 year suspension from the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) (Sportwereld.be)

Former Cyclocross World Champion Erwin Vervecken is once again in the spotlight at the third round of the Gazet van Antwerpen trophy series this weekend in Hasselt. Niels Albert is out for the season and Lars Boom is out with an injury as well. Old rivals Sven Nys and Bart Wellens will be there to give him a hard time, though. (sportwereld.be)
