Here’s an update to the “Stocking Stuffers for Cyclists” we published last week. Quite a few of our regular readers were out and may have missed it, so I’m re-posting and adding a few new items.

Buffs:

The Buff is an extremely versatile accessory that any cyclist would be able to use. Generally speaking, Buffs are tubular, seamless pieces of fabric. It can be worn at least ten ways and in the time that I’ve had to try one out, I’ve come up with a couple of others.

You can now get Buffs in a variety of fabrics and styles, For warmer weather conditions, there is the Visor and High UV Buffs that feature Coolmax Extreme fabric for superfast evaporation of sweat. If you have to deal with bugs on a common basis, there is the Insect Shield High UV Buff that features an odorless insect repellent that will last for over 70 washes.

The Original Buff can be used for all but the coldest conditions and uses microfiber fabric that wicks well in hot conditions and insulates well in cool weather.

Giro Filters:

We’ll be posting a full review of these in a couple of days, but our first impression of the Filter is very good.

DZ Nuts Chamois Cream:

Designed for Dave Zabriskie (DZ) by a pharmaceutical scientist to reduce and relieve chafing, irritation, and protect fragile perineal skin from bacterial and fungal infections. Formulated for real and synthetic chamois.

I just got some of this in and have had the chance to give it a short try. It is not as greasy as other chamois creams and has a cooling sensation that I find quite comfortable. Product philosophies include:

Terrasoles Beyond sandals:

Pedros’s Liquid X Lube:
