Stefan Schumacher argues for 2009 license

Unlike his teammate Bernhard Kohl, Stefan Schumacher is doing everything he can to return to the pro peloton in 2009. Despite two positive A-sample tests from the Tour de France, Schumacher, through his lawyer Michael Lehner, is calling for an immediate cessation of proceeding against by the French Anti Doping Agency (AFLD). He contends that their allegations against him are “arbitrary”. According to Lehner’s view, there is currently no legally tenable reason for Schumacher to be denied a license for the upcoming season.” And that a 2009 license should, “Easily and immediately be given.”

The objection to the test results centers around the AFLDs laboratory in Chatenay-Malabry, France. Lehner cites unauthorized and uncertain tests as well as contradictory results in a number of blood and urine checks.
