  • During the warmup for the Tour of Qatar time trial, a “piece of iron” was flipped up by a car and caught Tom Boonen in the shin. He had a nasty welt, but was able to continue and lead the Quick Step team to second place in the stage. (Sportwereld.be)
  • The German National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) published an updated list of allowable drugs. The list contains medicines in Germany (and their commercial names) which do not contain substances that appear on the prohibited list of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and therefore can be used for certain diseases.   • Nick Nuyens (Cofidis) took an early exit from the Tour of Qatar as he received news from his wife that she was heading to the hospital to give birth to their first child. (Sportwereld.be)
