NAHBS Spotlight – Cyfac

We’ve already posted our galleries from the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, but that was never intended to be the end.
Between Tim and I, there were a number of builders that caught our eye that we wanted to focus on. My first report is on Cyfac.

Nestled in France’s Loire Valley, Cyfac has been expertly crafting bicycle frames for more than 25 years. Cyfac’s founder, Francis Quillon, began as the frame builder to cycling’s greatest stars. As the real frame beneath a sponsor’s paint, Cyfac creations were chosen for their precision craftsmanship, quality, and fit. Technologically advanced and dependable, each frame was built to withstand the demands of hard grit European racing and training.

The choice is yours with Cyfac. They are able to provide anything from stock geometries to fully custom builds. Furthermore, you are not limited to one material with Cyfac. They make bikes in aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber, so you can select the construction that best suits your needs. Finishes can be fully custom as well, so you can ensure that you will have a bike that is truly yours.

Prices range from $1299 (frame, fork and headset) for stock geometries up to $4800 (frame, fork, headset, post and bottle cages) for fully custom builds. The customization extends to the component mix as well – Cyfac can build your bike up any way that you want.
All frames are constructed and painted in France.

Eric Sakalowsky from VeloEuropa Imports was also proud to point out the eco-friendly paint process. All bikes are finished with water based paints that allow for a smoother finish, use less material, are safer for the painter and can be cleaned up easier. The bikes are truly beautiful, so it must work!
