Redline starts to roll out 2010 cyclocross line

Redline sent us some very tantalizing pictures of their 2010 cyclocross line and visually, the Conquest Team was the standout. Once we got a look at the specs, we were even more impressed.

The bike dropped 1.25 pounds of weight from last year’s model thanks to a new aluminum frame, a SRAM Force gruppo and an A-Class EXA tubeless wheelset. With all of the changes, a stock 52 cm bike without pedals weighs in at 17.25 pounds, making it very competitive at the $3k street price.

A new, and exclusive to Redline, custom black alloy TRP brakeset helps with mud clearance and a change to SRAM’s new PowerGlide 11-28 cassette provides a wider and more versatile range of gears for a variety of race courses.

Something for the kids:

In what I think is an excellent move, Redline is introducing new 20 and 24 inch wheel models to give young riders an alternative from small mountain bike style machines.

We just have pictures right now, but if you have kids that are getting serious about cross and don’t fit a full size bike yet, I think a trip to your local Redline dealer would be worth it.
