Leipheimer for The Shack? (Updated)
VeloNews seems to think that Levi Leipheimer will be joining Lance Armstrong’s Radio Shack Cycling team. The leak came from a source “close to the team”. The same source also thinks that Chris Horner is close to signing, though Horner says that he is talking to several teams. If you need more about the veracity of this, LA tweeted later in the day:
“lancearmstrong: @LeviLeipheimer Leadville 2010, bro. What’s the wager?? A month of your @teamradioshack salary to Livestrong?”
Contrary to what we reported earlier today, VN is saying that George Hincapie was not pursued by the team as he had a contract with Columbia-HTC through 2010. That information came from Lance Armstrong himself, in an interview with Outside Magazine’s online edition.
