American cyclist Levi Leipheimer has been confirmed as the newest member of Lance Armstrong’s Radio Shack Cycling Team. The move has long been suspected, but today was the first time that it could legally announced.

Leipheimer has served as a strong lieutenant than can win races of his accord as well. Though his time with Armstrong seems only to have been on the Astana squad, Leipheimer has been working for Johan Bruyneel for some time now.

Look for more Radio Shack confirmations later in the day.

For a little more information on this story, check out Levi’s interview with Bonnie Ford at ESPN.
