AG2R’s Martin Elmiger to return at Tour de Vendee

October 1st, 2009 by Al Fresco View Comments

Martin Elmiger will return to competition on Sunday at the Tour de Vendee.

The Swiss rider was diagnosed with problems with his iliac artery last July by Professor Magne at Grenoble University Hospital, and was prescribed several weeks of rest. He was able to resume training in late August.

“I’m really happy to use this season. I returned to training normally and I drive between 3 and 7am daily. I have very good feeling and I’m not going to the Tour de Vendee just to finish the race. I really want to do well and why not get a nice place! “

The AG2R team for the race will be Cyril Dessel, Stéphane Goubert, Martin Elmiger, Yuriy Krivtsov, Julien Loubet, Nicolas Roche, Blaise Sonnery and Ludovic Turpin. The Athletic Director will be Arturas Kasputis.
