3 arrested in connection with Vandenbrouke’s death
Senegalese police have arrested three people in connection with the death of Belgian cyclist Frank Vandenbrouke.
The three will possibly be charged with theft, concealment and complicity. The woman who was with him at the time of his death reportedly stole one or two phones and some money. The relationship of two men to the woman is less clear.
The woman says that Vandenbrouke was alive when she left him on Monday.
A doctor, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that while today’s autopsy will tell more, the drugs that were found in his room would not likely lead to a pulmonary embolism.
