“No more doping,” says Basque government to Euskaltel

Tour de France 2009 Stage Sixteen

The Basque government has told Euskaltel-Euskadi team management that they will not tolerate any further cases of doping on the team. A new anti-doping contract clause was added as a response to the doping positive of Mikel Astarloza.

The Basque government provides 6.5 million euros to the team budget.
