Our next visit at Interbike was to the booth of Hydrapak. Hydrapak continues to add new features while keeping their best components, such as the Reversible Reservoir, Plug-n-Play tube connection and Big Bore drink tube in place.

New for 2010 is the Quantum Clip, a magnetic tube clip that keeps the drink hose where you want it. Also new is their Surge drink valve. It features a 45 degree angle bite valve with twist shut off and is said to be at a better angle for drinking.

Hydrapak's Morrow pack

All of these features can be found on the Morrow and Jolla packs. These Pro Series packs are made with the highest quality materials and construction coupled with a design philosophy that caters to the most discerning riders. The Morrow has 800 cubic inches of storage while the Jolla bumps the capacity to 1100 cubic inches. Both include a 100 oz. reservoir.

Carrying over for 2010 are a full line of hydration packs such as the Laguna, Big Sur, Flume, Chute and Aquiline.

The Hydrapak DualBot bottle

The new Dualbot bottle features Hydrapak’s new dual function nozzle. When the bite valve is pulled all of the way up, you get a high flow of water. When it’s pushed down, you can squeeze the bottle for a spray of water from the center valve. A removable dust cap keeps the valve clean and can be locked up when not in use. It’s easy to squeeze and BPA-free. The bottle will be available in 20 and 24 oz. sizes for $8.99 and $9.99 respectively.

Finally, Hydrapak introduced the Purebot. The Purebot is the first plastic water bottle that has been certified as both BPA and EA (Estrogenic Activity) free. Any chemical that either blocks or mimics the natural estrogen in the human body is an EA chemical. The PureBot is a great alternative for those who desire safe water bottles, but don’t want the added bulk and taste of metal bottles.
