Omega Pharma-Lotto signs French TT champ

Olympics Day 15 - Cycling - Mountain Bike

The Omega Pharma-Lotto team announced the signing of Frenchman Jean-Christophe Péraud to a two year contract.

Like former Omega Pharma-Lotto rider Cadel Evans, Jean-Christophe is a product of the mountain biking world. He won the silver medal in cross country mountain biking at the 2008 Olympic games before going on the crown his season with the French amateur road title.

Péraud is also the current French time trial champion. He took second at the Chrono des Nations and 12th at the World Championships in the discipline.

In 2010, he will focus mainly on road races.
