In a joint press conference today, Quick Step manager Patrick Lefevre and Eddy Merckx announced that Eddy Merckx Cycles will provide its top of the line EMX-5 bicycle to Quick Step for 2010.

Quick Step had been on Specialized Bikes for several years, but it seems that Specialized is now throwing their support behind Alberto Contador and the Astana team next year.

With the departure of Specialized, Quick Step is likely to switch helmet suppliers to Lazer.
