The first meeting of team Ceramica Flaminia 2010 concluded this morning in Riccione. “The team is ready for next season,” said team manager Roberto Marrone. “Each athlete is proving (to be) professionally prepared and willing to accept any race. We consider next season to (be) decisive to enter in the elite world of cycling. We have the men and staff to do so much work and I am confident that all of us are doing. ”

The ambitions are fully shared by Francesco Bravini, honorary president of the team along with Augusto Ciarrocchi and manager of Ceramica Flaminia, the leading Italian company in ceramics. “The new project seems to me started auspiciously,” said Bravini. “I got to know both Orlando Maini and Riccardo Ricco and I think that they are already well integrated in our team philosophy. Obviously we expect a lot from Riccardo and I am sure that (he) will not disappoint. But do not forget Giampaolo Caruso and all others in the group who are called to a season of consecration. I can say that the team has now developed a structure quite important to guarantee professionalism, commitment and continuity in all respects, who are the foundation for any successful business.”

Yesterday, the technical director Omar Piscina explained all aspects and behavior that characterize the life of the team: “We asked all team members to register under Internal Health Regulations and January will be the turn of behavioral rules, it’s simple rules that guarantee the excellence of the team even in matters not strictly related to the stages of the race but have a great effect about relationships with the fans and the media. Ours is a company that aims to be a model from all points of view. ”

Yesterday, Dr. Massimiliano Mantovani has completed all of his internal medical examinations: “They are all in great shape and perfectly in line with our expectations for this time of year,” he said.

Thursday morning, Luigi Simonetti held a session with the team on stress and all of its expressions. The aim was to help the cyclists in the recognition and control of this troublesome aspect of daily life, which often ends up affecting sporting performance. Ongoing sessions will be conducted regularly throughout the year, with the next meeting in Minturno from January 11 to 22, 2010.
