GORE™ RideOn® Cable Systems disappeared from the market in 2003, but after relentless customer demand, they made a return in 2007. Now, just in time for Interbike, Gore released their new GORE RideOn® Professional Cable System.

Now part of the standard equipement for SRAM Red gruppos, the Professional Cable Systems are the talk of the pro circuit, earning kudos from riders such as Levi Leipheimer, who says of the system:

“[After installing the cables], I noticed immediately that the shifting action was much lighter. In bad conditions, the housing and cables held up over time.”

As with all GORE products, the cables are subjected to rigorous testing both in the laboratory and on the road and trail. As noted above, their superior performance has earned GORE™ RideOn® Cable Systems their position as the cables of choice for SRAM® RED®  groupsets.

GORE’s unique cable coating technology ensures quick, precise shifting – regardless of riding conditions. Pro tour bikes typically go through harsh conditions including daily pressure washing and travelling through all types of weather conditions—both during the race and when mounted to the top of a team car. GORE’s professional system was designed to provide the best protection from the elements.  Now it will be available for both pro and amateur cyclists.

The GORE™ RideOn® Professional System showcases Gore’s latest cable coating technology, developed to complement the specially lubricated housing.  The professional system, available with black or white 4mm housing, also includes Gore’s uniquely designed ultra long-nosed ferrules to protect the cables, Grub™ seals to keep out contaminants and crimp caps.

Also returning is GORE’s RideOn Low Friction Kits. As of June 30th, the MSRP for both the brake and derailluer kits dropped from $49.99 to $39.99.
