In a stage that was characterized by numerous attacks and lead changes, it was Manuel Cardosa of the Footon-Servetto team who ended up crossing the line first today, with Alejando Valverde (Liquiqas-Doimo) and Cadel Evans (BMC Racing) hot on his tail.
