Two year ban for Maurizio Biondo

Italy’s National Anti-Doping Tribunal has imposed a two year ban as well as a fine of €13750 on cyclist Maurizio Biondo.
Biondo tested positive for recombinant EPO in an August 12, 2009 out of competition test. The ban for the former Ceramica Flaminia rider will date from September 14, 2009 and all of his competitive results will be invalidated.
