2008 Tour de France - Stage Three
Cofidis rider Samuel Dumoulin outsprinted Borut Bozic to end his quest for a third stage win at the Etoile de Bessèges on Friday.

Vacansoleil’s Bozic had won the two prior stages of the race and was hoping for another as a bunch sprint formed at the end of the 148km route from Pont Saint Esprit to Bagnols sur Ceze, but Dumoulin came out on top this time, with Tom Veelers of Skil-Shimano rounding out the podium.

Bozic’s second place on the stage means he retains his lead in both the general classification and the sprint standings.

Saturday’s fourth stage is likely to decide the race as the riders tackle a hillier 140km circular route from Ales.
