Tour of Poland to hold official presentation today

Saturday will see the official presentation of the 67th edition of the Tour De Pologne (Tour of Poland) that will take place on August 1 – 7, 2010. The gala evening will commence at 8 p.m. within the splendid surroundings offered by the BGZ Arena at the Pruszków Velodrome, just a few kilometres from Warsaw. During the evening, the route of the 67th Tour De Pologne will be revealed to the public with details of all 7 of the stages. Events related to this year’s race will also be presented. Of note are special happenings that celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of world famous Polish composer and pianist Fryederyck Chopin.

Among the guests that will be present at the event are Politician Waldemar Pawlak – ex Polish Prime Minister and today Economic Minister, famous people from the world of television and great names from the cycling world such as Giuseppe Saronni (general manager of the Lampre-Vini Farnese Team and friend and ex-team mate of Czeslaw Lang), the patron of Lampre Mr. Mario Galbusera, Polish ex-pro Zbigniew Spruch and Zenon Jaskula and the professionist Marcin Sapa who rides for the Lampre-Vini Farnese Team.

Many of the world’s best track cyclists will be riding on the Pruszków Velodrome cycle track accompanied, for this special occasion, by the music of Waldemar Malicki and the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Bernard Chmielarz.
