2010 Tour of Madrid: Prologue / Stage 1 Results
Today, Team Saxo Bank tempo specialist, Gustav Larsson won the 8km prologue over eight kilometers of Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid (Tour of Madrid) that runs through next weekend. Teammates Andre Steensen and Richie Porte also showed great form by finishing seventh and ninth.
“I actually haven’t been training that hard the last couple of weeks but the shape was good enough to take the stage win which of course is very encouraging. But I have to be really strong tomorrow in order to take the overall win as the stage has a steep uphill finish but I will sure do what I can,” said Team Saxo Bank’s always sympathetic Swede.
