Light & Motion’s new Urban family is made with safety in mind

Light & Motion is pleased to announce the addition of three new lights to its commuter line – the Urban 500, 300 & 180 lumens.

We take safety seriously here at Light & Motion, to be safe on the road you have to be SEEN! Which is why we have designed the entire Urban series to emulate our VIS 360 & VIS 180 lights, by giving them all amber side emitters– Light & Motion continues as the only bike-light manufacturer to provide 180 degrees of visibility – cyclists can be seen at intersections where over 70% of bike accidents occur.

The Urban lights deliver a remarkable 500, 300 or 180 lumens in a body that is 76% lighter than any other competitor.  They are also the only commuter lights on the market with an accurate battery status indicator, so the rider is never left wondering if they will make it home on the current charge. And when your Urban does finally run out of juice, simply plug it into your phone charger and go. The side-illuminating amber safety lights ensure that the rider is easily seen by traffic on all sides, and the tool free mount make it a cinch to get on and off.

The Urban projects a powerful and graduated beam of bright white light to provide the cyclist with high visibility and a long-line of sight – See and Be Seen. One touch High-Medium-Low-Flash provides multiple output settings for urban riding in dense traffic day or night.

The all-in-one system means that there are no external batteries or cables. The single cell Li-ion battery provides a 1.5-hour run time on high, 3 hours on medium, and 6 hours on low. Micro USB recharging is simple and efficient.  With 500 charge cycles, the Urban saves consumers $891 in throwaway batteries and is better for the planet too!

The Urban family line is the lightest and most compact high-performance system available and it is designed and built in the U.S.
