As we’ve come to expect, SRAM® and Zipp® equipped Cyclocross superstar Zdenek Stybar (CZE) is rolling steadily towards his opportunity to don a third consecutive rainbow jersey. The recently re-crowned Czech National Champion (his 8th) won this past weekend’s World Cup in Lievin, France, with a flawless performance.
Stybar was happily reunited with SRAM this past January when the componentry that helped him to win his previous two World Championships was chosen by his Omega Parma-Quick-Step team for 2012-13. He has also made the personal choice to use Avid® Shorty Ultimate brakes as the only thing to slow him down. The former Junior and U23 World Champion was not only happily reunited with the componentry he trusts, he is now also is rolling on the world’s fastest wheels, Zipp Firecrest. Additionally, he trains with a Quarq® powermeter.
Styby will defend his Cyclocross World Championship title January 29, in Koksijde, Belgium. He will ride SRAM Black RED drivetrain, Avid Shorty Ultimate brakes, and Zipp Firecrest wheels.
