2012 Tour de France: Stage 15 Preview

After the hills and drama of Sunday, Stage 15 of the 2012 Tour de France is a rolling stage that should end in a sprint finish.

The 158.5km stage runs from Samatan to Pau.

Along the way, the riders will first encounter the intermediate sprint at 101.5kms in Maubourguet.

 

 

Three climbs will next greet the riders:

  •  Km 107.0 – Côte de Lahitte-Toupière2.1 kilometre-long climb at 5.3% – category 4
  • Km 123.5 – Côte de Simacourbe1.9 kilometre-long climb at 6.3% – category 3
  • Km 129.0 – Côte de Monassut-Audiracq1.5 kilometre-long climb at 5.4% – category 4

With nearly 30kms after the last climb, though, the race should come together for another sprint finish….unless a breakaway decides to spoil their fun!
