The sprinters won’t enjoy the eighth stage of the 2012 Vuelta a Espana–it’s up hill the entire way!
The stage starts in Lleida and runs an undulating 174.7kms to a summit finish in Andorra (Collada de la Gallina).
The Collada de la Gallina is a new climb in the race and will be summitted after the riders have tackled the cat-2 Comella.
With the final four kilometres avergaing more than 9%, this should put the climbers and gc men to the test.
