Valentin Iglinskiy crossed the line in third place in the Tour of Hainan’s third stage (194 km from Wenchang to Haikou) after a sprint finish. The Kazakh rider, winner of the last two Tours, now finds himself 7thin the general classification and 18 seconds from the Russian rider, Serebryakov (TT1).
Directeur sportif Alexander Shefer told us about the stage finish: “Around 4 km from the line, we crossed a large bridge, there was a lot of wind and we were in the lead, ready to launch Valentin’s sprint. We formed an echelon and the group was split. Unfortunately, Nepomnyachshiy fell shortly after. Valentin stayed in the leading group and managed to cross the line in third place. There are still many stages to go and we are going to try our best to end the season with a victory”.
