Cantwell Sprints to Podium Spot on Stage Four of Tour Down Under

Team Saxo-Tinkoff’s Johnny Cantwell managed to sprint his way to third place and to a spot on the podium on today’s 126.5 kilometer long fourth stage of Tour Down Under from Modbury to Tanunda where André Greipel once again showed superb strength by taking the win.

Team Saxo-Tinkoff’s Italian sports director, Fabrizio Guidi was happy with the team effort and is looking forward to tomorrow’s mountain challenge:

#Takashi did a great job pushing Johnny to a perfect position on the finish line where he became aware that it’s actually possible to compete with the biggest sprinters. For sure, that will boost his determination even more. Chris was protected throughout the stage so he’s ready for the mountain stage waiting for us tomorrow,” said Team Saxo-Tinkoff sports director, Fabrizio Guidi after the stage.

Geraint Thomas (Sky) still leads overall.
