So, you are heading to the Cyclocross World Championships. Your bags are packed, the cowbell is ready, but all you have is that tired old Rolex. You can’t walk into the #LOUISVILLE2013FOAMPARTY with that. Lars van der Haar will walk away faster than he starts races and there is no way you’ll make it on Behind The Barriers with JPow! Sounds like you need the Louisville 2013 limited edition watch set from Modify Watches.

Modify got its start in the summer of 2010. Their goal was simple, make awesome watches that people want. What makes their watches unique is the ability to swap faces and bands to create custom looks. The faces are made with nubs on the top and bottom that fit into pockets inside of the silicon watch band and the crown fits through a little hole on the side to allow adjustments while the face is in a band. This holds the face in nice and tight. The faces come in two sizes, mini and standard, and have separate bands for each size in an array of colors. There are over 1,000 combinations available that you can mix and match on the website. Modify makes other special edition faces, including Deadmau5, the San Francisco Giants, Rock The Vote.

The Louisville 2013 set comes in a standard face with two bands, yellow and blue. This special edition face has both the UCI and Louisville 2013 logos to commemorate the first cyclocross world championships outside of Europe. Not sure yellow is your color, or the blue is a little too Belgian, you can also purchase the face and bands separately. Here is where you can get creative and show your support for your favorite riders. They even make a glow in the dark band. Want some flair for the post race after parties? This band is the ticket. The faces are water resistant up to 3 ATM, so it means you can wear them in the shower, or while working in the pits, but make sure you take the face out of the strap and let it dry. The backs are stainless steel and the case is scratch-resistant polycarbonate. You can scratch the face, but its not easy. To give the watch and even more custom look, you can swap the sliders from one band to another (once you have bought a few of them).

Being that this is a special edition, supplies are limited. If you make it to Louisville, look for Modify Watches at the Expo, or check them out online, to pick up your watch. If you don’t absolutely love it, let them know, they’ll have your back.
