2013 U.S. Racing Calendar for Team UnitedHealthcare Begins with Old Pueblo Grand Prix

After a strong early season showing in Europe, South America and Asia where it produced 10 top 10 results in its first seven races of the season, the Team returns home to the United States for the start of its 2013 U.S. racing campaign, in search of its first podium finish of the year. The March 9th Old Pueblo Grand Prix in Tucson, Arizona, marks the first of three consecutive Saturday criteriums the newly revamped Blue Train will race stateside. Following Saturday’s race in Tucson, the boys will head to Florida for the Cigar City Criterium (a.k.a. Tampa Twilight Criterium) on March 16 and then to Delray Beach, Florida, for the March 23rd Delray Beach Twilight Criterium.

Leading the way for Team in Tucson will be ’s 2012 National Criterium Calendar (NCC) champion, Hilton Clarke (AUS). In addition to Clarke, the Team features a formidable lineup that includes two other top five finishers in last year’s NCC standings, Carlos Alzate (COL) and Luke Keough(USA). Adrian Hegyvary (USA), Brad White (USA) and (AUS) comprise the balance of the Old Pueblo GP lineup under the direction of General Manager/Team Director, Mike Tamayo.

Over in , early season top 10 performers Alessandro Bazzana (ITA), Jake Keough (USA) and Aldo Ino Ilesic (SLO), should factor in heavily for the March 9th and 10th Ronde Van Drenthe. (CUR), (USA), (USA), (ITA), and (USA) will all be crucial components to the Team’s success, each bringing a wealth of experience and proven results to the table.
