2012 UCI WorldTour Trophy to be presented to Joaquin Rodriguez in Catalonia

The International Cycling Union will present the 2012 UCI WorldTour trophy to the winner of the individual classification Joaquin Rodriguez (Katusha) on Monday after the first stage of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.

The trophy will be presented by UCI President Pat McQuaid at the end of the first stage in Calella. The ceremony, which will take place after the stage one prize-giving around 4.30pm, will be attended by a large number of Joaquin Rodriguez ‘s local supporters with the support and presence of several UCI and Katusha representatives.

Joaquin Rodriguez won the individual ranking of the 2012 UCI WorldTour with a total of 692 points, in front of Bradley Wiggins (Sky Procycling) 601 points and Tom Boonen (Omega Pharma-QuickStep), 410 points.
