Ty Beadle (Corona, CA) won gold on Wednesday in Zolder, Belgium, in the Challenger Class finals, while number one-ranked Jordan Scott (Henderson, NV/Redman) overcame early-race difficulties to claim bronze.

Beadle, racing in the boys 9 category, was one of the top ranked racers going into the final heat, having won all of his previous heats. He edged out Wyatt Stevens-McNab (NZL) and Joshua Jolly (AUS), who finished second and third, respectively.

Racing in women's 14 category, Scott entered the BMX World Championships as the top ranked rider in the world in her respective age category. After a great run up to the finals, Scott unclipped early in the final heat leaving her at the back of the pack on the first straight. Scott clipped back in and battled back to a podium position behind Jessie Smith (NZL) and Kaly Harcourt (NZL).

Samantha Brown (Crown Point, IN/Dans Comp) won a silver medal in the women 17+ category, finishing between Tessa Geerling (NED) and Ellen Jacobs (NED) who finished first and third, respectively.

Olivia Armstrong (Bend, OR) finished the first day of competition with a bronze medal in the women 15 age category behind Lea Fouchard (FRA) and Yentl Nijs (BEL), who finished first and second, respectively.
