Gran Fondos a new source of business for Biemme Custom line

Italian clothing manufacturer Biemme has been seeing strong interest in their custom cycling clothing solutions, and Gran Fondo partners in New York, Miami and Ottowa have especially fueled the division’s growth.

Biemme launched their custom cycling clothing site just over two years ago, and their custom business has seen 20% year over year growth since. Events like the gran fondos mentioned above have been a strong part of the business, with event managers responding to Biemme’s great quality and value in a kit that is designed just for them.

Gran Fondo New York recently picked Biemme for their full custom jerseys, bibshorts and jackets.

Another partner is the PwC Epic Tour Halton. This event, which offered rides for everyone from families to those willing to take on a 170km ‘ultrafondo’, offered a free custom designed jersey to early registrants.

Biemme recently added a new feature to their custom site called Design4Team. This user-friendly app simplifies the semi-custom ordering process for teams, clubs and shops. Customers start with one of 23 base designs, select from a range of 20 custom colors and then can add their own logos and text.

Sizes from XS Junior to XXXL Adult are available, and customers can also specify zipper type, fit and gender.

Order minimums are a very doable 10 items and can include shorts, bibshorts, jackets and vests as well. After a customer has picked all of the options, the order is whisked off to Biemme’s custom team and reply can be expected in mere hours.

Biemme also offers the Select’N Go program for members of a cycling club or team to order pre-designed custom apparel at their convenience.
