Scott Bicycles steps up to sponsor Normann Stadler and the entire Dresdner Kleinwort Triathlon Team
Normann Stadler is the team captain and mentor of the Dresdner Kleinwort Triathlon Team, which is aiming for a larger international presence in 2009 and beyond. In addition to Stadler, the 2009 team will also include Markus Fachbach, Jan Raphael, and Maik Twelsiek of Germany, Mathias Hecht (Switzerland), Marino Vanhoenacker (Belgium) and Scott Neyedli (Scotland).

Scott Contessa Triathlete Sibylle Matter recently won the Hawaiian Airlines Double competition that ranked athletes entering both the Ironman WC in Kona and the X-Terra WC in Maui 2 weeks afterwards.

The 2008 Ironman Championship takes place this weekend, and as usual, everyone’s chances are wide open. You only need to look at last year’s race when Chrissie Wellington came out of nowhere to win. That said, I’ve taken a look at the results from the past year and, shall we say, handicapped the race (don’t ask me for odds – I’m no statistician).

We covered the 2009 Roubaix SL2 back in the summer, but Specialized brought their entire 2009 line to Interbike.
The S-Works Transition does not change much from last year, but Spesh is happy to tell you that it was ridden to the 2007 Ironman World Championships by Chris McCormack. McCormack is looking for a repeat at the 2008 edition that takes place this weekend in Kona, Hawaii.
