CyclingNews wraps up their coverage with 3 reports:
- Race Face introduces a full carbon MTB crank
- NoTubes offers an alternative to the Shimano/Hutchinson tubeless system. They have a retrofit that will allow most rims to run the Hutchinson tires without tubes.
- Pearl Izumi adds to and refines their line of shoes. They also announced that they will be clothing the Slipstream/Chipotle team in 2008.
- Easton revamps its entire wheel line and plans to market a new carbon crankset as well.
Pez Cycling News notes that everyone and their sister are coming out with cranks this year:
- A sub-400g crank from Ingenu. I assume that this does not include the BB.
- Another view of the Easton crank mentioned above - it’s said to come in at 660g complete for under $600.
- Zipp shows their 4 arm road crank. I believe I heard some talk around that there were some problems with their previous crankset. They worked with Cannondale on this one. 570 grams out the door.
- Lightning Bikes introduces (surprise!) a carbon crankset that will be 570g with BB and rings.
- FSA’s very cool and beefy looking Neo TT crank.
VeloNews also has a couple of reports:
- Another “look” at the Look 586
- Road and mountain helmets from Giro and Bell
- New off road saddles from Fizik
- The Ibis Mojo SL, and the jack-of-all-trades Tranny
- Time’s new cyclocross bike
- A little more on Stan’s NoTubes for road
- Tubeless cyclocross tires from Hutchinson
- Mavic’s superlight Cosmic Carbone Ultimate wheelset (1120g for the pair)
