- Young Czech rider Zdenek Stybar won the World Cup cyclocross event Sunday in Kalmthout, Belgium.
- Australian Matt Wilson of the Unibet team held on in the last stage of the Jayco Herald Sun Tour to take the overall title.
- Alberto Contador has finally confirmed that he signed with the Astana team. He’ll be racing in the traditional season-ending Criterium of the Spanish Cycling Federation this weekend.
- The UCI has confirmed the parameters for the “biological passport” that will be a part of doping controls next season.
- The end of the regular racing season marks the start of the Six-Day Race season. Many pros will participate in these races to keep up their fitness over the winter.
