Here’s some of the latest headlines:

  • Reuters reports that Skoda will continue their sponsorship of the Tour de France through 2011.
  • Yesterday, we reported that Alberto Contador confirmed with Astana. Today, news comes that Levi Leipheimer will go there as well.
  • Americans took 31 medals at the recent Masters Track World Championships.
  • The numbers of tests perfomed on professional riders will increase by more than 50% next year. There will be a combination of 15,000 in and out-of-competition tests. Of course, given the UCI’s track record this year, they should actually peform about 100 of those tests.
  • Erik Zabel is doing the Six Days of Amsterdam race this year. He and Peter Schep won on Day 1.
  • Here’s a provisional 2008 UCI race calendar.
