Levi Leipheimer (Astana) put in a commanding performance in today’s time trial, besting his nearest rival by nearly half a minute and pulling to an overall 49 second lead to stay in the leader’s jersey.

David Millar and Christian Vandevelde of the Slipstream-Chipotle team took 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Former race leader and World Time Trial Champion Fabian Cancellera finished in 5th, over 1 minute back from Levi.
