Results from the last several days:

Road: 

  • Monte Paschi Eroica: In only its second season as a professional race, this classics-style contest gets moved to the spring. Fabian Cancellera takes the win this time around.
  • Three Days of West Flanders: Bobbie Traksal of P3 Transfer takes the overall win
  • Tour of Murcia: Kolko Fernandez of Euskatel-Euskadi wins the fifth and final stage, but the overall win goes to Alejandro Valverde of Caisse d’Epargne.
  • Paris-Nice: Thor Hushovd won the prologue time trial
  • Tour de Taiwan (Stage 1): Kam Po Wong (HKg) of the Hong Kong Pro Cycling Team takes the win. Americans Kirk O’Bee and John Murphy of Health Net-Maxxis take 6th and 7th, respectively.
  • Trophy Porec: Slovakian Aldo Ino Ilešic of the Sava team takes the win in 3:12:27
  • Prix de Lillers - Souvenir Bruno Comini: Dominik Klemme of Germany (3C Gruppe) wins this 163.5 km race in 3:49:56
  • Trofeo Franco Balestra - Memorial Sabbadini: Poland’s Wojciech Dybel (MGK Vis Norda) comes across in 4:13:00
  • Cape Argus Pick n Pay: Robert Hunter of the Barloworld team sets a new course record to take the win in 2:27:29. 18-year-old Cherise Taylor is the youngest ever winner of the Elite Women, with a time of 2:50:52.

MTB:

  • Sunshine Cup Round #4(Cyprus): Roel Paulissen took the lead early and held onto it to take the win in 2 hours and 3 minutes. Petra Henzi takes the women’s race in 1:43:52
