For one brief moment, the Flyte was complete and rideable with the new Force group. I took the kids for a ride in the trailer and then I GOT PICKY. The front derailleur cable was frayed and I decided to put in a new one. I cut it, pulled it, then tried to put the new one in, and I can’t get it to go. Seems that I’ll have to unwrap the bar to thread the cable through.
That’s okay, though, cause I finally have my new frame!
It’s not this one:

I had expected to receive the Pedal Force RS2 around the middle of April. That whole week came and went, and there was no frame. By this point, I had been waiting for 2 months. I called PF and they told me that my order might be delayed as late as May 8th. My ride time had already been delayed by the drivetrain upgrade, and I just wanted to get something and get riding, so I cancelled my order and got this:

Is it pink? Oh, yeah. Does it have flames? Yeah, buddy. This is one sexy bike. It’s a 2005 Giant T-Mobile Team TCR Composite from R & A Cycles. It cost me more than the PF, but it’s a known product from a known manufacturer. The frame is only slightly lighter than the PF, but the fork is a good bit lighter.
Most of the parts are now on the new frame. I’m going to take the fork to be cut tomorrow, and I need to adjust some cables, housings, etc., but I should be ready to ride by mid-next week.
