Well, June 19th came and went with no announcement from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on the Floyd Landis appeal. No dice. I was hoping for a full exoneration and the possibility of seeing him ride in the Tour de France this year.
Some teams (Barloworld, Agritubel, Bouyges Telecom) have already announced their rosters for the race. I do not know if there is a deadline for submitting rosters or if teams have the ability to make last minute substitutions.
Also, I really wonder if a team would risk putting Floyd on their roster only to see the ASO tell them to stay home. I seriously doubt, given the current state of politics in racing, whether the organizers of the Tour even feel that they have to honor CAS decisions.
Still…. We still want a decision. We’re waiting.
