November 6th, 2008 by Ron Callahan 916 views No Comment

The website for the EICMA show (Milan Internation Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition) has an article on this limited edition bike:

The Gazzetta dello Sport and Canadian company Cervelo have already begun to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Giro d’Italia that falls next May.

The ‘Centenario’ bike was officially presented at the Gazzetta dello Sport stand in hall 5 and is a special model created for the big event. It is a combination of cutting edge technology and the poetry of the Giro d’Italia.

For now the bike is unique in design and number because it is the only one has been created. The frame is white with pink Gazzetta decorations and Giro d’Italia Cento Anni logo on the down tube. It has been fitted with SRAM and FSA components. It will probably be produced in a limited number for bike collectors although no date for release has been confirmed.

The bike was presented by the marketing director of RCS Sport Lorenzo De Salvo and Stefano Bignami of the marketing office of Italian Cervelo importer Larm.
