Matteo Priamo out four years

November 12th, 2009 by Al Fresco 290 views One Comment

Matteo Priamo has been handed a four year suspension by the Court of Arbitration for Sport for supplying his CSF-Navigare teammate Emmanuelle Sella with CERA, the newest generation of EPO drugs, in 2008. The anti-doping prosecutor of the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) filed the appeal to CAS after Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal decided last January to exonerate him.

Sella confessed to using the drug. He received a reduced suspension because he named Priamo as his supplier. Sella has already served out his suspension, and returned to racing with the Italian squad Carmiooro Style-A in August.
