Your friendly editor has had a tasty lunch of Fagottini di Pollo and now I have today’s headlines for you. Still no word on Landis, Armstrong advises Contador to look in the mirror and more:

• Still no word on Floyd Landis’ possible move to Rock Racing. I’ve been monitoring the UCI’s site for news on the team’s Professional Continental license to no avail.
• The first section of Het Nieuwsblad’s interview with Lance Armstrong was published today. In it, he talks about his relationship with Alberto Contador, the partisanship of the Spanish media, Astana’s Kazakh sponsors and more. One telling quote (paraphrased): ‘If 8 of the 9 riders that won the Tour de France moved to a different team, that says alot about the person left behind. Maybe he should look in the mirror.’ If I can find a really good translation of the interview, I’ll post it here.
• Danish cyclist Linda Villumsen is applying for citizenship in New Zealand. The 24 year old recently took third in the individual time trial at the World Championships and will continue to ride for Columbia-HTC in 2010.
• Footon-Servetto management says that their team roster and management staff is complete and that they have not had any financial difficulties that have forced their hand in signing decisions.
• Footon-Servetto also announced that Selle SMP has come on as an equipment supplier for the team. Riders will have their choice from Selle SMP’s line of innovative saddles. Look for a Selle SMP review on BikeWorldNews soon.
• Former French professional Eddy Seigneur is joining the Astana team as their director of logistics.
• Robbie McEwen is criticizing Australia’s open national championships, decrying the presence of a German, a Brit and a New Zealander on the podium. Australia is the only country that allows riders of all nations into their National Championships.
• Portuguese rider Joao Correia is the latest addition to the Cervelo Team. He rode for the Bissell Pro team in 2008 and 2009 while working as an associate publisher at Bicycling Magazine.
• Bert Roesems, who most currently rode for the Cinelli-Down Under team, has announced his retirement at age 37. He plans to return to school to pursue studies in Sports Management.
