Giro d’Italia - Stage 13 Results

Today’s stage was a flat 177km cruise from Modena to Cittadella. The riders enjoyed good weather and a nice tailwind, at least at the start.

Today’s stage from Potenza to Peschici starts and ends with climbing, with a fairly long, flat section in the middle. Yesterday, we saw a solo breakaway by Rik Verbrugghe of the Cofidis team, but he was not able to hold on all the way to the end. Today, five riders (Luis Laverde (CSF), Johannes Froehlnger (Gerolsteiner), David Millar (Slipstream Chipotle), Pavel Brutt (Tinkoff) and Francisco Perez Sanchez (Caisse d’Epargne)) were able to get away and stay away.
