Welcome back to our fourth day of coverage of the 2009 Tour de France. Today saw the return of Lance Armstrong and the “blue train” while many others crashed and burned on the technical and windy course.

Mark Cavendish wins another, while his teammate Tony Martin continues in the white jersey. Lance Armstrong moves up in standings, while Cadel Evans whines about no one helping him.

A strong, long sprint by local rider Michael Albasini netted Columbia-Highroad their third win in five stages in the Tour de Suisse.

Albasini’s victory came on the toughest stage of the race, a 202-kilometre leg from Stafa to Serfaus, with a first category climb and third category climb immediately preceding an uphill finish.

Lance Armstrong, Levi Leipheimer and Chris Horner will race in next Sunday’s Nevada City Classic. For Armstrong, it will be his final preparation for the Tour de France.
