Radio Shack is one of the 25 teams expected to participate in the event. The team also received an invitation to Tirreno-Adriatico, a race often seen as preparation for Milan-San Remo.

In today’s cycling news, new Australian Pro Tour team in the works, Radio Shack announces pre-selection for Tour de France, Pro Tour may come to India and more.

The Colnago-CSF Inox team will presents its expanded roster to the world during a ceremony at Colnago’s headquarters in Cambiago (Milan) next Monday, January 25th.

Mark Cavendish won a neutralized stage of the Giro. The race was marked by a rider protest over the safety of the course.

Olivier Kais (Silence-Lotto) won Thursday’s 5th stage of the Tour of Turkey. The Belgian took the sprint ahead of two Italians, Alessandro Fantini and Diego Caccia.
Kais was part of a two man breakaway with Diego Caccia for much of the race, but they were joined by three others in the final kilometers. Team directer Marc Wauters talked Kais through the final kilometers and told him when to attack the finish.

Niels Albert won Saturday’s Krawatencross GVA Trophy race in Lille, Belgium by millimeters over Sven Nys. With his second-place finish, Nys wrapped up the GVA Trophy series, his second series win of the year after his World Cup series win in Milan. Bart Wellens was third, 44 seconds back.
Daphny van den Brand easily won the women’s race in Lille, with new world champ Marianne Vos second and Sanne Cant a close third …
