We have a few cyclocross races to catch up on in today’s update, plus some mountain biking bits to whet your appetite.

Niels Albert won Saturday’s Krawatencross GVA Trophy race in Lille, Belgium by millimeters over Sven Nys. With his second-place finish, Nys wrapped up the GVA Trophy series, his second series win of the year after his World Cup series win in Milan. Bart Wellens was third, 44 seconds back.
Daphny van den Brand easily won the women’s race in Lille, with new world champ Marianne Vos second and Sanne Cant a close third …

Daphny van den Brand and Sven Nys won the Elite Women’s and Elite Men’s races in Milan in close races over their biggest rivals. Click here for full reports of the races from Cyclocross Magazine.
The top three men in the 2008/2009 World Cup were Sven Nys (620 points), Bart Wellens (502) and Zdenek Stybar (497).

Cycling TV will be covering the final round of the Cyclocross World Cup from Milan on Sunday, January 25th from 1200-1500 (GMT).
Sven Nys will preview the new frame Colnago built for him in advance of the World Cup at Milan and the upcoming World Championships.

The Milan Bicycle Festival will run from November 26 to 30 and will celebrate the pride of cycling through music, film and art.
The Festival will include musical evenings, art exhibitions, street events, bike polo, urban races and cyclocross races. The festival will culminate with a dance party to be held in a large parking garage that will also feature a ring for indoor cycling.
