Covington, KY approves permanent cyclocross course

The city of Covington, Kentucky, just outside of Cincinnati, became the state’s second city to commit to year ‘round cyclocross bicycle racing when the city commissioners, in a meeting shown on live television, approved plans for a permanent cyclocross park in Devou Park.

Powers and Compton UCI3 Cincinnati Cyclocross Festival opener

Jeremy Powers (CyclocrossWorld.com/ Cannondale) and Katie Compton (Planet Bike/Stevens) were victorious by wide margins in today’s Cyclo Stampede, the opener of this year’s Cincinnati UCI3 Cyclocross Festival.

Daphny van den Brand and Sven Nys won the Elite Women’s and Elite Men’s races in Milan in close races over their biggest rivals. Click here for full reports of the races from Cyclocross Magazine.
The top three men in the 2008/2009 World Cup were Sven Nys (620 points), Bart Wellens (502) and Zdenek Stybar (497).
