October’s Cincinnati UCI3 Cyclocross Festival will feature the largest weekend prize purse for women cyclocross racers anywhere in the world.

The city of Covington, Kentucky, just outside of Cincinnati, became the state’s second city to commit to year ‘round cyclocross bicycle racing when the city commissioners, in a meeting shown on live television, approved plans for a permanent cyclocross park in Devou Park.

Jeremy Powers (CyclocrossWorld.com/ Cannondale) and Katie Compton (Planet Bike/Stevens) were victorious by wide margins in today’s Cyclo Stampede, the opener of this year’s Cincinnati UCI3 Cyclocross Festival.
