USA Cycling’s development efforts are paying with strong showings in BMX, road, cyclocross and track racing.

2010 looks like it is going to shape up to be a very interesting year. The gloves are off and the battle between Alberto Contador and Lance Armstrong is ON. By now, of course we know that Lance Armstrong is heading to the new Radio Shack Cycling team, while Contador is headed to parts unknown. All we know for sure is that they will both be at the 2010 Tour and it’ll be “no more mister nice guy.”

The American Bicycle Association hosted the Winter Nationals this past weekend, March, 6-8 in Phoenix, AZ.

Chula Vista, Calif. (Feb. 11, 2009) – USA Cycling teamed up with GT Bicycles to host the first of four camps in 2009 to be a part of a USA Cycling’s new BMX Junior Development Program. Seventeen 15-16 year-old men and women were invited to the United States Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., Feb. 1-6 to take part in the first camp of its kind.

After being delayed a day by rain, the BMX finals finally took place. The day’s race can easily be called a success – for both the athletes and for the IOC.
