No global ban for Alejandro Valverde

The Court of Arbitration for Sport will continue to discuss the case of Caisse d’Epargne’s Alejandro Valverde, but he has won what can be described as an early victory. CAS has stated that a global ban against the rider for his alleged involvement in the Operation Puerto affair is “unfounded”.
